While many of our jacks might be considered "off-the-shelf" or standard, we routinely design custom jacks to your exact specifications and needs.

Some of the features we design and build into all of our jacks are:

Versatile - CIGNYS Caster Jacks can operate vertically, horizontally (or upside down) to raise, lower, or push your load. Units requiring tension load capability are available on special application.

Compact - Our unique two-stage design provides a compact retracted height without compromising the extended lifting capability and travel.

Robust critical design features - Our standard inner and outer wall tube construction is among the thickest in the industry. Round tubes on the 10,000, 20,000 and 30,000 lb. models assure precision fit and extreme mounting rigidity. Other models have a square tube construction. Special inner tube locks are available where side movement must be eliminated.

Automatic Latch and Self-Locking Design - Provides double safety against rotation of the jack screw under vibration or extreme loading conditions. No need for brakes or expensive locking devices. Automatic latch is standard in the 7,500 / 10,000 / 20,000 and 30,000 lb. models. Latch actuates when crank handle is removed from the assembly.

Side Load Capability - Our jacks are designed to withstand side loads resulting from uneven terrain, off-center loading, and eccentric mounting methods.

High Efficiency Bevel Gearheads - With 3:4 gear ratio on the 2,000 lb. model / 3:1 gear ratio on the 5,000 lb. models / 3.66:1 ratio on the 7,500 and 10,000 lb. models / 10:1 gear ratio on the 20,000 and 30,000 lb. models. Gear ratios 5:1 and 20:1 are also available on the 20,000 and 30,000 lb. capacity units. Gearheads have precision tapered thrust bearings, steel or bronze driveshaft bushings, large lubricant reservoir. The 500 lb. and 1,800 lb. models operate on direct screw drive

Corrosion resistant designs - Our standard jacks are supplied with a resistant finish - protective phosphate and prime painted with red oxide. All hardware is zinc plated. In addition, we can provide electroless nickel plating, zinc plating, or chrome plating. Special jacks can be manufactured with stainless steel hardware and lube fittings for specialty greases for unique applications.
